Librica will offer content to fans online.

TOKYO – Japanese comicbook publishers Kadokawa, Kodansha, Shueisha and Shogakukan plus Tose Software have bowed Librica, a Web publications venture. Librica will offer comicbooks to fans on the Web, starting with content aimed at users of the Nintendo Wii. The partners are planning a similar service for the Nintendo DS handheld.

BERG TO DIRECT ‘HERCULES’

“Hancock” director Peter Berg is spearheading a fresh take on Hercules for Universal.

Berg will produce and will develop to direct “Hercules: The Thracian Wars,” a co-production of Spyglass Entertainment, Berg’s Film 44 and Radical Pictures. Spyglass and Universal will co-finance the film.
